Vice President, Mexico
You will join a Mexico City-based investment team as a key member of the global platform, leading sourcing, evaluation, execution, and management of investments across Latin America while collaborating with colleagues across regions and sectors. You will act as a central relationship owner for portfolio companies, drive investment processes end-to-end, and play a critical leadership role in shaping investment theses, developing junior talent, and representing the firm externally. You'll work closely with senior leadership and management teams across the global portfolio, helping high-growth companies scale and create long-term value.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with portfolio company management teams to drive operational improvements, strategic initiatives, and value creation opportunities
- Monitor financial and operational performance, identify value creation levers, and support strategic initiatives such as M&A, market expansion, and organizational buildout
- Contribute to exit strategy planning and execution
- Lead and manage complex transaction processes, including diligence, valuation, structuring, negotiations, and closing
- Direct Associates and Senior Associates in analyses, modeling, and materials development
- Coordinate third-party advisors, experts, and internal cross-functional teams
- Prepare and present investment memos for internal Investment Committee discussions
- Proactively identify and evaluate investment opportunities in Mexico and broader Latin America through market mapping, research, and relationship building
- Develop and refine investment themes that align with global sector strategies
- Build strong networks with entrepreneurs, advisors, bankers, and industry leaders
- Mentor and coach junior team members to foster professional growth and development
- Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing culture within the firm
Requirements
- MBA from a top-tier program preferred; non-MBA profiles with relevant experience will also be considered
- Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university
- 4-7 years of experience in growth equity, private equity; investment banking foundational training strongly preferred
- Proven track record of executing successful private equity/growth transactions from sourcing to closing; presenting to investment committees
- Experience working closely with management teams and driving value creation efforts
- Experience covering Latin American investments is preferred
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Passionate about discovering interesting transformational up-and-coming high-growth companies
- Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence skills
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
