State Street’s Transfer Agency team provides comprehensive shareholder servicing solutions to global fund management companies, including transaction processing, investor servicing, AML/KYC, registration, reporting, and payments.

We are seeking an experienced Vice President to lead Transfer Agency operations, ensuring exceptional client service, strong risk controls, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across APAC, EMEA and North American clients.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Client Service Leadership
Lead and oversee daily Transfer Agency operations, including investor onboarding, transaction processing, registration, settlements, reconciliations, and client servicing.
Ensure accurate and timely execution of investor transactions and maintenance activities.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, fund managers, distributors, and key stakeholders.
Monitor service delivery against SLAs and KPIs to ensure client expectations are consistently achieved.
Drive service excellence through proactive issue resolution and continuous process improvement.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, AML/KYC standards, FATCA, CRS, and internal policies.
Partner with Compliance, Risk, Legal and Audit teams to maintain effective controls and governance.
Monitor operational risk events and implement corrective actions to mitigate future risks.
Support internal and external audits and ensure ongoing audit readiness.
Team Leadership
Lead, coach and develop managers, officers and associates across multiple functions.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning and performance excellence.
Support succession planning, talent development and employee engagement initiatives.
Process Improvement & Transformation
Identify opportunities for automation, workflow optimization and operational efficiency improvements.
Lead transformation initiatives that enhance scalability, reduce risk and improve the investor experience.
Utilize operational metrics and management reporting to drive informed decision-making.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with Technology, Product, Compliance, Risk, Legal and Finance teams on strategic initiatives and business growth opportunities.
Support new fund launches, regulatory changes and business transformation programs.
Present operational updates, performance metrics and risk insights to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
12+ years of experience in Transfer Agency, Fund Administration, Financial Operations or Investor Services.
Proven experience leading large operational teams and managing client relationships.
Strong knowledge of Transfer Agency operations, mutual funds, ETFs, regulatory requirements, AML/KYC, FATCA and CRS.
Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management and people development capabilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Experience driving process improvement, operational transformation and risk management initiatives.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with executive-level presence.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of operational efficiency and cost management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Transfer Agency platforms and workflow tools preferred.
