Virtual Design Engineering Analyst - Seats Subsystem - (Product Development - NX)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Virtual Design Engineering Analyst - Seats Subsystem - (Product Development - NX) based in Brazil.
This role focuses on developing high-quality virtual design solutions for automotive seat components and subsystems.
You will work across seat foam, plastic, and stamping components, translating engineering requirements into accurate math data and virtual layouts.
The position combines detailed CAD development with virtual integration, supporting designs from individual components through complete vehicle systems.
You will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, technical leaders, and other stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges.

This is a hybrid, full-time opportunity requiring on-site work three days per week, from Tuesday through Thursday, in São Caetano do Sul, São Paulo.
Accountabilities:
- Math design and component development: Develop, refine, and finalize design criteria, sections, math data, and virtual layouts for complex seat components and subsystems.
- CAD and modeling: Apply standardized modeling methods, engineering best practices, design standards, and global modeling guidelines to create accurate and high-quality math data.
- Engineering integration: Incorporate manufacturability, Design for Assembly, and product integration principles into component and subsystem designs.
- Technical documentation: Maintain material, mass, and other relevant part specifications within math files and ensure data meets required quality standards.
- NX analysis: Perform NX analyses for assigned subsystems, interpret results, and communicate technical findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Virtual integration: Develop virtual integration solutions that support program and vehicle requirements, analyzing data from individual parts through complete vehicle integration.
- Vehicle-level analysis: Interrogate virtual data, vehicle assembly structures, part design usage, and configuration requirements to identify integration issues and support technical decisions.
- Complex problem-solving: Address non-routine technical challenges involving complex components, subsystems, and broader vehicle integration requirements.
- Program support: Coordinate program and related activities under technical guidance, supporting timing, deliverables, and virtual design objectives.
- Collaboration and reviews: Work closely with engineers and designers, participate in design and virtual reviews, and support colleagues with component and integration activities.
- Communication: Proactively communicate project status, technical risks, timing concerns, and issues to relevant technical and program stakeholders.
- Continuous improvement: Share lessons learned, recommend improvements to engineering practices, stay current with relevant technologies, and actively pursue professional development.
- Education: Completed engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
- Automotive expertise: Working knowledge of seat development, particularly foam, plastic, and stamping components.
- CAD proficiency: Strong proficiency with NX and other relevant CAD tools.
- Data management: Knowledge of CAD and engineering data management systems, including PLM environments.
- Virtual design tools: Experience with VisMockup and the Windows Suite.
- Modeling knowledge: Strong understanding of standard modeling methods and maintaining math fidelity throughout the product development cycle.
- Virtual integration: Solid knowledge of virtual integration principles, practices, procedures, and methodologies.
- Technical problem-solving: Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex, non-routine technical problems involving components, subsystems, and vehicle integration.
- Design for manufacturing: Understanding of manufacturability, Design for Assembly, and product integration principles.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with engineers, designers, technical leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Communication: Clear and proactive communication skills, particularly when discussing technical risks, project status, priorities, and delivery timelines.
- Autonomy and judgment: Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek technical guidance and demonstrating sound technical judgment.
- Organization: Ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet program schedules and technical deliverables.
- English: Intermediate English proficiency or higher.
