Requirements:- Strong VMware experience across vSphere, ESXi and vCenter.
- Proven experience with VMware Cloud Foundation and SDDC technologies.
- Strong automation and Infrastructure as Code experience.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, PowerCLI or similar.
- Knowledge of enterprise networking and services including DNS and load balancing.
- Experience integrating platforms with DevOps and CI/CD toolchains.
- Experience working in secure or regulated environments.
- Strong technical documentation, troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Kubernetes / VKS experience is desirable.
- Experience in hybrid cloud and multi-platform environments is desirable.
- GitOps and IaC best practices experience is desirable.
- Backup, disaster recovery and resilience experience is desirable.
- Agile delivery / Atlassian tools experience is desirable.
- VMware certifications such as VCP, VCAP or VCF Specialist are desirable.
- Deliver hands-on engineering support to the OpNET programme.
- Design, build, automate and support VMware Cloud Foundation platforms.
- Design, deploy and manage VMware Cloud Foundation platforms.
- Implement and support vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSX, vSAN, VCF Operations, VPC and VKS.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code and API-driven automation using Terraform, Ansible, PowerCLI or SaltStack.
- Support platform lifecycle activities including builds, upgrades, patching, scaling and operational handover.
- Integrate virtualisation platforms with enterprise networking, DNS, identity and DevOps/CI/CD services.
- Translate architecture designs into secure, automated and deployable solutions.
- Produce low-level designs, build guides and operational runbooks.
- Support integration, testing, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
- Ensure solutions follow secure-by-design, hardening and organisational security standards.

We are seeking an experienced VMware VCF / Virtualisation Engineer to work out of Corsham on a DV Cleared role, supporting the OpNET programme. This is an inside IR35 contract paying £600 to £675 per day, initially for 7 months with the potential to become long term. We offer the opportunity to work on enterprise virtualisation and software-defined infrastructure within a secure and regulated environment.
