Be part of something bigger.What You'll Do:Provide strategic leadership, coaching, and direction to the Commercial Lending team in the St. Croix Valley and MN Metro markets to achieve Royal's commercial lending objectives, growth goals, and Member experience standards. Lead regional portfolio quality, credit risk management, and market development efforts while driving business growth and relationship expansion. Execute Royal's commercial lending strategy by aligning business development, relationship management, portfolio growth, and Member experience objectives. Develop and mentor high-performing lending professionals through coaching, performance management, accountability, and individualized development planning. Vet and evaluate lending opportunities to ensure alignment with Royal's risk appetite, strategic priorities, and business objectives. Strengthen existing Member relationships and assist in developing new commercial banking relationships throughout the region. Partner with other Commercial Lending Regional Managers, Treasury Management, Business Banking, Credit, Operations, and other business units to deepen Member relationships and deliver comprehensive financial solutions. Drive market growth strategies that expand Royal's commercial presence, strengthen referral partnerships, and increase market share. Champion process improvement, innovation, and technology adoption that enhance team effectiveness and Member experience. Represent Royal as a visible community leader and advocate while developing strategic relationships with business, community, and industry partners throughout the markets we serve.Our Commitment To You:Compensation: $135,000 to $220,000 (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)Benefits: Royal is proud to take care of our team members and their families! Five (5) years of business lending experience. Two (2) years of leadership experience. Must be bondable upon hire. Valid driver's license and ability to maintain it. Insured vehicle. Preferred QualificationsSeven (7)+ years of commercial or business lending experience.Three (3)+ years of leadership experience.Previous experience leading commercial lending teams.Demonstrated success in business development, relationship management, and market expansion.Experience developing and executing strategic growth initiatives.Knowledge, Skills & CompetenciesDemonstrated ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop lending professionals through performance management, goal setting, accountability, and individualized development planning. Strong commercial lending and business acumen with the ability to evaluate financial information, analyze market conditions, identify growth opportunities, and support strategic decision-making. Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, including the ability to cultivate trust, influence stakeholders, develop community partnerships, and strengthen Member relationships. Proven ability to build alignment and drive results across multiple business lines and functional teams.Demonstrated success leading organizational change and implementing strategic initiatives.Ability to leverage data, technology, and process improvement initiatives to enhance Member experience, improve operational effectiveness, and drive sustainable growth.Proven ability to develop talent, build succession pipelines, and create high-performing teams.Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement by challenging the status quo, encouraging diverse perspectives, and implementing effective business solutions. Adaptable and technologically proficient leader with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and digital tools, capable of succeeding in a dynamic and evolving environment. Work Schedule:Full-Time, working 40+ hours per week. Hours may vary between business hours Monday through Friday, and may include additional time for Member meetings, community involvement activities, training, and business development events.Hybrid position with approximately 20% to 50% travel throughout Royal's geographic footprint for Member meetings, prospective Member visits, community involvement activities, training, and meetings.Training:Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment.
