JOB SUMMARY / INTRODUCTION

The Equity Research will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis of equity markets, sectors, and individual companies to support investment decisions. This role involves evaluating financial statements, building valuation models, and providing actionable insights to optimize portfolio performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Market & Company Analysis:
  • Perform fundamental and technical analysis of equities across multiple sectors.
  • Monitor macroeconomic trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes impacting equity markets.
  • Financial Modeling & Valuation:
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions).
  • Assess company performance, earnings forecasts, and valuation metrics.
  • Investment Recommendations:
  • Prepare research reports and investment theses with clear buy/sell/hold recommendations.
  • Present findings to senior management and portfolio managers.
  • Portfolio Monitoring:
  • Track portfolio performance and risk exposure.
  • Suggest rebalancing strategies based on market conditions and investment objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Work closely with portfolio managers, risk teams, and strategy units to align equity investments with overall capital allocation goals.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5–8years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or asset management.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and Bloomberg/Refinitiv tools.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strategic thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Preferred / Beneficial
  • Master’s or CFA preferred
  • Knowledge of GCC and global equity markets is a plus.
