Working across clinical, product, analytics, finance, legal, marketing, and customer success teams, you will help shape solutions that can move seamlessly from commercial agreement to implementation.

Accountabilities

  • Build, manage, and convert a high-quality pipeline from prospect identification through contracting, maintaining detailed account plans, opportunity strategies, risks, timelines, and next steps.

  • Consistently achieve or exceed annual bookings, revenue, pipeline coverage, and other commercial performance objectives.

  • Lead complex enterprise sales cycles involving executive, clinical, financial, actuarial, network, quality, procurement, legal, information-security, and operational stakeholders.

  • Translate clinical, diagnostic, and care-management capabilities into differentiated payer value propositions linked to member outcomes, engagement, quality, affordability, and total cost of care.

  • Develop value-based commercial proposals, including pricing structures, measurable outcomes, performance guarantees, risk arrangements, and reporting requirements in collaboration with internal experts.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams throughout discovery, solution design, due diligence, contracting, and implementation handoff to ensure solutions are clinically sound, operationally feasible, and commercially viable.

  • Lead RFP and RFI responses, executive presentations, demonstrations, finalist meetings, procurement processes, due diligence, and contract negotiations.

  • Build trusted relationships with senior health plan executives and develop internal champions across target accounts.

  • Maintain disciplined CRM management, forecasting, opportunity tracking, and regular reporting on pipeline health, probability, timing, and performance.

  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, customer meetings, executive briefings, and other market-facing events, with travel as required.

  • Bring payer, competitor, and market intelligence back to leadership to inform positioning, product development, partnerships, and go-to-market strategy.

  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree in business, healthcare, public health, or a related discipline is preferred.

    • 10+ years of B2B healthcare sales or business development experience, including significant success selling to national or regional health plans.

    • Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and closing large, complex, multi-year healthcare contracts within the health plan market.

    • Experience selling care management, population health, digital health, virtual care, clinical services, or comparable healthcare technology and services.

    • Strong understanding of health plan economics, priorities, organizational structures, budgeting cycles, procurement practices, and contracting processes.

    • Demonstrated experience developing and selling value-based arrangements, outcomes-based pricing, performance guarantees, shared-savings models, or other risk-aligned commercial structures.

    • Ability to lead lengthy, sophisticated sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers, formal RFPs, clinical and financial diligence, security reviews, procurement, and legal negotiations.

    • Established relationships with health plan executives and leaders across clinical, population health, quality, innovation, network, finance, and operations functions are highly valued.

    • Ability to translate clinical and analytical concepts into compelling financial and strategic value for executive audiences.

    • Strong pipeline management, forecasting, territory planning, and CRM capabilities; Salesforce experience is preferred.

    • Exceptional executive presence, presentation, negotiation, storytelling, and written communication skills.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including business-case development and evaluation of commercial tradeoffs.

    • Highly collaborative leadership style, with the ability to influence and mobilize cross-functional teams without direct authority.

    • High integrity, sound judgment, resilience, and comfort operating in a dynamic, growth-stage environment.

    • Strong understanding of contractual commitments, implementation considerations, clinical outcomes, and financial value.

    • Willingness and ability to travel as required.

    • Benefits

      • Executive-level opportunity to shape and accelerate growth within a healthcare organization focused on value-based care.
