Reporting to the CRO, the Senior Vice President, Sales will serve as the primary senior leader responsible for executing on the continued development of new business opportunities within the market. With a primary focus on motivating a team of sales hunters to achieve organic growth goals. The successful leader will be expected to possess notable Health & Benefits knowledge, executive credibility and significant, legitimate relationships within employer groups, health plans and broker | consultant agencies. In addition, this proven leader deeply understands the different sales processes necessary to guide prospects through an often times challenging and complicated buying cycle.
The SVP will join the revenue generation team as the key leader in the continued development and implementation of strategic growth plans that will enable the organization to achieve both short-term and long-term objectives. In addition, by way of the candidate’s prior experience, the SVP will be viewed as the company’s “subject matter expert” as it pertains to current and future issues facing our marketplace today, and how Uprise Health solutions can be utilized in response to these issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and advance a strategic sales pipeline to drive net new revenue.
- Meet and exceed annual sales quotas and pipeline development.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, consultants, employers, and strategic partners.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within the employee benefits and behavioral health space.
- Position and differentiate Uprise Health against incumbent providers and point solution competitors.
- Serve in assisting Uprise Health to further develop its products and services targeted toward the direct-to-employer, broker | consultant and health plan verticals by assisting in value proposition presentations and development, product development and/or other strategically significant initiatives that will enable the company to meet its short-term and long-term objectives.
- Rapidly grow the trust and confidence of the management team, employees and all external constituents
Essential Education and Experience
- Builds and manages sales pipeline, qualifies, and prioritizes prospects based on needs, estimated annual enrollment size, win probability, and speed of sale and implementation in order to grow revenue and market share.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a consultative sales
- 5+ years’ experience in, and deep understanding of, the employee benefits space, including buyer behavior, sales cycles, and decision criteria.
- Strong broker and consultant relationships within the employee benefits and healthcare
- Experience within behavioral health, mental health, EAP, digital health, healthcare navigation, or related industries preferred.
- Skilled in prospect qualification, pipeline management, negotiations, and closing complex opportunities.
Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a home remote office near office equipment (telephone, computer). Verbal and written communication, telephone usage, filing, sitting, typing, reading, and carrying are required to perform the essential functions of this job.
