Walk-in || Qa Automation Testing Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with 3-6 years of

experience who combines strong manual testing fundamentals with

hands-on automation skills. The ideal candidate understands the

software development lifecycle end-to-end, can validate APIs

thoroughly, has basic database querying ability, and is comfortable

building/maintaining automation suites using RestAssured (API) and

Playwright (UI), with JavaScript as the scripting language.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand product requirements (PRDs/user stories) and translate them into detailed manual test cases and test scenarios
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, smoke, and sanity testing across web/mobile applications
• Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts for UI
• (Playwright) and API (RestAssured) layers
• Validate REST APIs request/response structures, status codes, headers, authentication, edge cases, and negative scenarios
• Write and execute basic SQL queries to verify backend data integrity during testing
• Participate actively in all phases of the SDLC — requirement analysis, test planning, execution, defect tracking, and release sign-off
• Log, track, and manage defects clearly with proper severity/priority classification and repro steps
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other
• QA team members to ensure quality releases
• Contribute to improving test coverage, automation frameworks, and QA processes over time

Mandatory Skills

Manual Testing Concepts: Test case design, test scenarios,

boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning,

regression/smoke/sanity/exploratory testing, defect life cycle

SDLC Knowledge: Clear understanding of software development

life cycle and where QA fits into Agile/Scrum workflows

API Testing: Hands-on experience testing REST APIs (manually

via Postman and via automation)

Basic Database Knowledge: Ability to write basic SQL queries

(SELECT, JOIN, WHERE) to validate data

Automation — RestAssured: Experience building/maintaining

API automation suites using RestAssured (Java)

Automation — Playwright: Hands-on experience with Playwright

for UI/E2E automation

JavaScript: Working proficiency in JavaScript for writing andmaintaining Playwright test scripts

App Testing: Hands-on experience testing mobile applications —

Manual or Automation (good to have)

Selenium (good to have): Experience with Selenium WebDriver

for browser automation

Java (good to have): Working knowledge of Java

Log Tracking Tool (good to have): Exposure to log

tracking/monitoring tools, preferably Kibana or any equivalent

tool

Load Testing (good to have): Basic experience with

load/performance testing using K6 or JMeter

Agentic AI Tools: Knowledge and hands-on experience with

Agentic AI tools such as Claude or Cursor for AI-assisted

testing/development workflows
