About us
Australian Red Cross has a network of over 180 retail stores where we raise funds to improve the lives of the most vulnerable people in Australia, especially those affected by bushfire, flood and other disasters.

Each year, we rescue 450 tonnes of clothing from landfill, give opportunities to 5000 volunteers, and generate funds to help Red Cross support vulnerable people in Australia and around the world.

About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Driver & Support Officer to join our Perth Distribution Centre team.

This is a hands-on and varied role supporting the day-to-day operations of the Distribution Centre and our Red Cross Shops across the Perth metropolitan area.
You will assist with collecting and delivering donated goods and merchandise, moving stock between locations, and providing general support within the warehouse when required.

A key part of the role is providing exceptional customer service and representing Australian Red Cross in a friendly, professional and respectful way when dealing with our shop teams, volunteers, donors and members of the community.

You will need to be physically capable of safely handling and moving stock, well organised and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible and willing to help wherever needed, with a strong commitment to safety and providing great service.

What you will bring

Good driving history with sound knowledge of Perth and surrounding areas
Previous experience with delivery or courier service processes
Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items
Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Knowledge of WHS guidelines and hazards
Previous experience with warehouse equipment highly regarded

A current and valid Light Rigid (LR) licence is an essential requirement of this role.

This role is covered by the Storage Services and Wholesale Award 2020, Level 2. Pay from $27.97 / hour + casual loading + superannuation, with access to salary packaging.
