Warehouse Lead

Key Accountabilities

This position assumes all of the responsibilities and requirements of the position of Material Handler, as well as Materials Specialist in addition to the following:

• To provide support, guidance, and leadership within the Order Processing Team to maintain consistent level of internal support and assure accurate, safe and efficient fulfillment of all sales order requests.
• Ø Ensure that the document processing, confirmation, and accurate shipment, as well as return, of all materials required within the sales order processing environments are performed in an accurate and expedited fashion to support excellent customer service and continued sales of our products.
• Ø To perform troubleshooting functions to resolve errors or inventory inaccuracies as they relate to the order processing function.
• To provide support, guidance, and leadership within the Outbound Dock Team to maintain consistent level of internal support to assure accurate, safe and efficient shipment of all outbound shipments to Wholesale and Retail customers.
• Ø Ensure that the orders are audited and loaded correctly using the closed door application.
• Ø Ensure that the shipments are being loaded in a timely manner, and conduct a daily audit of empty trailers in the yard.
• Ø Inform all departments throughout the warehouse when materials and returns are received from outside vendors and customers.
• To provide support, guidance, and leadership within the Manufacturing Support Team to maintain consistent level of internal support to assure accurate, safe and efficient fulfillment of all manufacturing requests.
• Ø Ensure that the issue, data entry, inspection, put-away, and transfer of all materials used within the manufacturing environments are performed in an accurate and expedited fashion to maintain an efficient and continuous flow of produced goods.
• Ø To perform troubleshooting functions to resolve errors or inventory inaccuracies as they relate to the manufacturing support function.

To assure that all policies and procedures are upheld to assure an accurate, safe and efficient operation within the warehouse environment.

• Ensure that the proper guidelines and procedures are in place and are followed to provide a safe environment for the individual employee and those within that environment and to maintain a high level of consistency and accuracy within the warehouse functions. This is to include any training requirements that may fall into these categories.

Ø Ensure that the functions performed are managed to optimize labor and productivity of the employees.

Ø Facilitate daily team meetings to communicate daily schedule, review labor requirements, direct staff accordingly, and provide feedback to Warehouse Supervisors and Management.
