Water & Wastewater Treatment Supervisor (West area)
Summary
Oversee daily operations of water and wastewater treatment plants, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards while managing maintenance and troubleshooting equipment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment systems.
- Monitor plant performance, water quality, chemical dosing and operating parameters.
- Lead operators and technicians in routine plant inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot pumps, valves, piping, filters, treatment equipment and instrumentation.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs and contractor activities.
- Ensure all work complies with safety procedures, environmental requirements and Permit-to-Work requirements.
- Maintain operating records, chemical inventory, maintenance reports and plant documentation.
- Identify operational problems and recommend improvements to plant performance and reliability.
Requirements
- Diploma in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, utilities or process plant operations.
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, chemical dosing systems and basic instrumentation.
- Experience with systems such as wastewater treatment, RO, UF, filters, ion exchange or EDI will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of SCADA or HMI systems is preferred.
