Web Developer

Summary

Senior WordPress developer building full-stack websites, custom themes/plugins, and brand systems using PHP, JS, and Gutenberg for agency clients.

Overview

We’re looking for a senior-level WordPress Developer who can do more than just build websites—you'll create complete brand identity systems that drive real results for clients. This is a full-stack role where you'll be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, working closely with designers and project managers.

What You’ll Be Doing

Website Development: Build responsive, high-performing WordPress websites that look great and work flawlessly across all devices.

Front-End Development:

  • Convert clean, organized Figma designs into pixel-perfect HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Implement engaging UI components and interactions.

Back-End Development:

  • Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins using PHP.
  • Create and integrate custom APIs.
  • Ensure website security, performance, and scalability.

Gutenberg-Focused Builds:

  • Develop with Gutenberg as the preferred block editor.
  • Knowledge of Elementor and Porto Theme is a plus, but Gutenberg is our go-to.

Plugin Mastery:

  • Comfortable using and customizing ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7, WooCommerce, and others.
  • Experience with third-party integrations and custom post types.

Optimization & Security:

  • Boost site performance (caching, lazy loading, CDN setup, image compression, database optimization).
  • Implement WordPress security best practices (firewall configuration, vulnerability patching, login protection, etc.).

Testing & Deployment:

  • Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Push sites live using cPanel, staging environments, or Git-based workflows.

Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Work with designers, product managers, and junior developers.
  • Participate in agile workflows and project discussions.
  • Contribute to internal coding standards and documentation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional WordPress development experience
  • Strong understanding of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive design.
  • Experience developing fully custom themes and plugins.
  • Proficient with Git, version control, and deployment workflows.
  • Able to work independently and manage full project cycles.
  • Detail-oriented and passionate about clean, scalable code.
  • Familiar with SEO best practices and performance optimization.
  • Comfortable working in remote teams, giving and receiving feedback, and keeping up with trends in WordPress development.
