About the role

We are seeking an experienced Web Developer (Supervisor) to join our team in Bali on a full-time basis. In this supervisory role, you will lead our web development team whilst maintaining hands-on involvement in the design, development and maintenance of our digital platforms. You will play a strategic role in overseeing web projects that enhance our online presence and support our tourism and travel services. This position is crucial to ensuring our digital infrastructure meets the evolving needs of our business and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of web developers, providing mentorship, guidance and performance evaluations

• Lead the design, development and deployment of web applications and websites that support PT Harum Indah Sari's tourism and travel services

• Oversee code quality, best practices and adherence to development standards across all projects

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope and deliver solutions that meet business objectives

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to foster continuous improvement

• Manage project timelines, resource allocation and ensure timely delivery of web development projects

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs and performance problems in existing web systems

• Stay current with emerging web technologies and industry best practices, implementing innovations where appropriate

• Contribute to the strategic planning and development of our web technology roadmap

• Liaise with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations and customer service to ensure digital solutions align with business goals

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of professional web development experience with demonstrated expertise in full-stack web development

• Proven supervisory or team leadership experience managing web developers or technical teams

• Strong proficiency in modern web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and popular frameworks such as React, Vue or Angular

• Experience with back-end development using languages such as PHP, Python, Node.js or similar

• Solid knowledge of database design and management (MySQL, PostgreSQL or equivalent)

• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines

• Understanding of web security principles and best practices

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and inspire team members

• Experience in the tourism, travel or hospitality industry is advantageous

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent professional experience
