Website Designer / UI/UX Designer

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Website Designer / UI/UX Designer to join our team on a project-by-project basis.

You will be responsible for designing modern, high-quality websites that are visually impressive, intuitive to use, and accurately aligned with the client's brand and requirements.

We are looking for someone with a strong eye for detail who understands both design and user experience and can take a brief from initial concept through to a polished, developer-ready design.

Responsibilities
Design modern, responsive websites for desktop, tablet and mobile
Create high-quality UI/UX designs and user journeys
Develop wireframes, layouts and high-fidelity designs
Work confidently in Figma
Create reusable components and organised design systems
Ensure designs are consistent across all pages and devices
Work closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately
Review and improve existing website designs based on feedback and QA
Communicate clearly throughout the design and development process
Meet agreed deadlines and deliver work to a high standard

Requirements
Proven experience designing professional websites
Strong portfolio demonstrating previous website/UI/UX work
Advanced knowledge of Figma
Strong understanding of responsive web design
Excellent understanding of typography, spacing, colour and visual hierarchy
Understanding of UX principles and conversion-focused design
Ability to work from a brief and also contribute your own creative ideas
Excellent attention to detail
Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines

Nice to Have
Experience working alongside web developers
Experience designing for e-commerce, fintech or other digital businesses
Knowledge of modern web design trends
Experience creating design systems and component libraries
Basic understanding of HTML/CSS
