Salary: Transform the digital SPCA experience
Lead a major digital transformation at SPCA
Lead the delivery of SPCA’s new website platform and help shape how people across Aotearoa experience our organisation online. As Website Project Manager, you’ll bring together internal teams, external delivery partners and technology experts to deliver a scalable, accessible and user-focused platform that supports our supporters, adopters, volunteers, donors and staff.
- Website Project Manager
- 6 Month Fixed-Term – Full-Time
- 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday
- Auckland-based – Hybrid working
About the role
SPCA is embarking on a significant website replatforming programme, and this newly created role will own its delivery from planning through to launch and beyond.
Working within our Business Transformation team in Auckland, you’ll be the person connecting the moving parts, translating business needs into a clear delivery plan, keeping internal and external stakeholders aligned, managing risks and dependencies, and making sure the organisation is ready for a successful launch.
You’ll work across technology, content, digital, business and external delivery partners, balancing competing priorities while keeping the programme focused on its agreed outcomes.
What you'll lead
You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end website replatforming programme, including:
- Managing scope, budget, timelines, milestones, risks, issues and dependencies to keep the programme on track.
- Working with internal sponsors, business owners and subject-matter experts, alongside website, integration and technology partners, to align requirements, decisions and deliverables.
- Coordinating content migration, content reviews, approvals, training, change activities and go-live readiness.
- Coordinating UAT, accessibility, SEO, integration and performance testing, as well as go-live planning and post-launch hypercare.
- Maintaining project documentation and RAID logs, establishing clear governance and providing concise reporting to steering committees and senior leaders.
- Using user feedback, analytics, business needs and operational requirements to help prioritise post-launch improvements and enhancements.
What makes this role interesting?
This isn’t simply a website build. You’ll be navigating a complex programme involving multiple stakeholders, external delivery partners, technology considerations, content migration, SEO, accessibility and organisational change.
You’ll need to be comfortable bringing structure to complexity, making progress across competing priorities and keeping people moving towards a shared outcome.
The programme will also continue beyond launch, giving you the opportunity to influence how SPCA’s digital experience evolves through post-launch optimisation and continuous improvement.
What you'll bring
We’re looking for an experienced project professional who can confidently lead complex digital delivery, take ownership, create clarity when things are complex and build strong relationships across different teams and disciplines.
- At least 5 years’ experience managing digital, technology or website implementation projects.
- Proven experience leading complex projects from planning through to launch.
- Experience with website replatforming, CMS implementation, content migration and SEO preservation.
- Strong experience managing third-party vendors, delivery partners and digital agencies.
- Strong project governance, budgeting, reporting, risk and issue-management capability.
- Experience delivering projects using Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams, dependencies and competing priorities.
