Welder (MIG and TIG) - 20 to 24 per hour, 1st and 2nd Shift - Independence, MO

Strategic Workforce Development is hiring Welders for a metal fabrication manufacturer in Independence, MO.

PAY AND SCHEDULE
Pay: $20 to $24 per hour
Shift: 1st and 2nd shift openings

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Perform MIG and TIG welding to blueprints, specifications and quality standards
• Fabricate, assemble and repair metal parts
• Grind, sand, deburr and finish welded parts
• Support machine operators and learn fiber lasers, press brakes and other shop equipment
• Inspect welds and finished products; pack and prepare product for shipment
• Keep a clean, safe shop (forklift certification training available)

WHAT YOU NEED

• Manufacturing, fabrication or shop experience
• MIG and TIG welding experience (reading welding symbols and blueprints is a plus)
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for long periods
• Reliable, safety-minded and detail-oriented
