WSH/EHS Lead (Main Contractor, East)
Summary
Oversee site safety and environmental compliance for construction projects in Singapore, ensuring adherence to WSH regulations through audits, training, and risk management.
- Lead implementation and continuous improvement of site safety and environmental management systems in alignment with applicable Workplace Safety and Health legislation and company EHS framework.
- Drive on-site safety governance through regular inspections, risk assessments, audits, and corrective action tracking to ensure full compliance by all workers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Design and deliver safety induction, training, and awareness initiatives, while fostering a strong safety culture across project teams and supporting certification and audit readiness.
- Act as key advisor to project and senior leadership on safety performance, incident prevention strategies, regulatory updates, and emerging EHS risks, including reporting and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate closely with internal safety personnel and external authorities, ensuring effective communication, timely regulatory submissions, and alignment of site activities with statutory and corporate EHS standards.
Requirements:
- Registered WSH Officer with MOM
- At least 8 years of experience in construction safety with a leadership/managerial capacity
- Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH legislation, audit processes, and ISO-based management systems
- Proven experience working with main contractors in fast-paced project environments
- Diploma or higher in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or related discipline
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and team leadership capabilities
