And you might be wondering: Mariana, what's a day in the life like wearing the Zurich jersey? I love that you asked (I wondered the same thing myself):

We are looking for an Area Manager Canary Islands to join the DT South / Canary Islands Territorial Management team. Your main objective will be to lead and manage the team of Business Managers assigned to your area, under criteria of growth and profitability. You must execute the Sales and Distribution Plan in your area, leveraging the commercial levers at your disposal and successfully implementing the agreed strategic initiatives.

Your day-to-day will consist of

• Management of the assigned business managers, guaranteeing the profitable growth of the business in the Canary Islands Area.
• Create value propositions based on the identification of new business opportunities.
• Acquisition and development of intermediaries, with a focus on meeting the assigned business objectives.
• Provide a comprehensive vision of the business, detecting opportunities for its development, while staying up to date with new market needs and competitors in the area.
• Drive ideas to boost this development, energizing and motivating the intermediary network, and executing initiatives to reach the set objectives.
• Lead and inspire an assigned sales team by establishing the organization's objectives and performing constant monitoring to achieve them.

Additional information

Don't worry, I'm not going to ask you to save the planet or to meet 100% of the requirements:

• Higher education in Business Administration, Law, Economics, or similar.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience related to the position.
• High level of product knowledge.
• Analytical capacity and advanced Excel skills.
• Strategic and business vision.
• A person with communication skills to relate to the different departments or areas of the company.
• Capacity for analysis, anticipation, and decision-making.
• Commercial proactivity, customer orientation.
• Knowledge of Office suite (Word, Power Point, Excel)
• Experience in management and leadership of sales teams.
