Accounts Payable Clerk

Capital Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team! This role is an important part of our accounting operations, ensuring invoices, expense reports, and payments are processed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, comfortable working with numbers, and able to keep things moving in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date accounts payable records.

• Review and verify invoices, payment details, and supporting documentation for accuracy.

• Process invoices and payments in a timely manner.

• Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies and payment-related questions.

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions at month-end.

• Assist with preparing financial reports related to accounts payable.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards.

• Stay current on accounting practices and procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar accounting role preferred.

• Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with data entry.

• Proficiency with computers and standard business applications.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• CDK software experience is a plus.

• Must successfully pass pre-employment background screenings.
