Manages amenity construction projects for a family-owned homebuilder in Sarasota, FL — leading planning, design, and build from start to finish. Day to day involves coordinating architects, contractors, and municipalities, managing budgets and schedules, overseeing subcontractors, and conducting site visits. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead the planning, design, and construction of assigned amenity projects from conception to completion.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and municipalities to secure approvals, permits, and inspections.
- Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, allocate resources, and track milestones to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and contract requirements.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve any technical, operations, or logistical issues.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work site that meets the Neal standards and is visually appealing
- Review and evaluate project proposals, change orders, and scope adjustments.
- Provide regular updates and reporting to stakeholders on project status, risks, and budget performance.
- Complete 3rd party inspection audits for turnover of completed facilities to operational and maintenance teams.
- Implement best practices, process improvements, and lessons learned post-project to optimize future project delivery.

WHAT YOU BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in commercial construction, land development, or amenity projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, contracts, regulations, and safety standards
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, complex budgets, and schedules simultaneously
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities to effectively liaise with clients, internal teams, and vendors
- Proficient in project management software and scheduling tools
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for risk mitigation, resource allocation, and financial oversight
- Attention to detail, organizational capabilities, and the ability to track multiple deliverables
- Experience working with owners and high-level executives
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to regularly visit active construction sites, safely navigate uneven terrain, climb stairs, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
- The ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
- Continuous walking, standing and moving about
- Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs
