Assistant Supply
Job purpose
Attends, monitors, and assists in all control room operations which include loading and unloading of LPG via trucks, issue of LPG for filling and bottling in accordance with the instructions received from the supervisor and team leader.
Job specific accountabilities
Terminal operations
- Assist supervisor in LPG storage and bottling operations via control room and in field as required.
- Perform the LPG unloading operations from trucks containing LPG from Ruwais Refinery as per standard operating procedures and report to supply supervisor in case of any abnormality or issues.
- Conduct safe offloading operations at offloading bay by continuously monitoring the offloading activity.
- Record terminal operations data, shift stock movement report in shift logbook and support in maintaining all relevant logs.
- Assist in preparing daily stock statement based on tank gauging reports available in the control room.
- Assist in monitoring all product movement operations and record all activities in the logbook.
- Check logbook for previous shift’s report to ensure follow-up and update it with important remarks, if any, for follow-up by the following shift.
- Support in maintaining LPG tanks stock through Ruwais Refinery bulk receipt.
- Collect the PDN/PTNs from supply supervisor for loading of bulk LPG into the vehicle as per sales or direct orders for collect and delivery customers in a timely manner.
- Inspect the vehicle before loading to ensure that it is in good condition and highlight any issues to the supply supervisor.
- Perform loading of LPG in trucks with daily dispatches to customers as per given schedules and ensure loading of correct quantities as specified on PDN/PTNs. Report to supervisor in case of any emergency or abnormality.
- Perform the weighbridge operations through TMS for loading company or customer vehicles.
- Follow up all pending, missing, and unconfirmed PDN/PTNs for all loaded products.
Additional job specific accountabilities
- Assist in reconciling daily PTNs, PDNs, and plant meter reading statements. Inform supply supervisor if there are any discrepancies.
- Assist to prepare monthly statement of contractor’s deliveries and haulage report (products delivered by contractor vehicles) and submit the report to supply supervisor.
- Assist in preparing daily trip schedule for LPG fleet.
- Assist in preparing fleet utilization report for company and contractor fleet.
- Ensure that the LPG fleet (company and contractor) is in good condition and inform supply supervisor in case of any abnormalities.
- Ensure all relevant information pertaining to the shift operations are duly updated in the eLog – shift handover system.
HSE management
- Assist the supply supervisor and coordinate with HSE during emergency operations.
- Monitor fire alarm control panels, auxiliary console, alarm annunciator panels etc., and inform control room supervisor to coordinate with HSE emergency commander as and when required.
- Act in an auxiliary firefighting team in emergency scenarios and emergency drills.
Maintenance management and others
- Make routine checks to ensure that all equipment and facilities in the terminal are in good working condition and record any abnormalities and report to control room supervisor.
- Assist maintenance team or contractor for any repair or maintenance works on facilities, in addition to troubleshooting and general maintenance activities.
- Perform other job related duties as instructed by supply supervisor or team leader.
Minimum qualification
High school diploma and vocational or technical training.
Minimum experience, knowledge and skills
- At least 3 years’ experience in a relevant field, oil and gas operations.
- Computer literate of basics.
- Good knowledge of Arabic and English languages (spoken and written).
- Valid UAE driving license.
