Associate Manager, Implementation, Uber for Business
About the role and team
Leading at Uber means setting direction in motion, not waiting for perfect conditions. As an Associate Manager for Account Management, you’ll lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment where the answers aren't always clear and the stakes are consistently high. You’ll be responsible for turning ambiguity into action, whether you're overseeing implementation for enterprise clients or managing relationships within our large fleet categories.
This role is about more than just maintaining partnerships; it’s about owning the outcomes and driving continuous improvement across service, volume, and margin. You’ll need to make hard calls under pressure, influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct control, and stay resilient when faced with the messy reality of rapid-growth tech. If you are a leader who builds with heart and thrives on the challenge of navigating complex, shifting priorities, this is where you’ll make your mark.
What you’ll do
- Lead and mentor a team of high-performing individual contributors, taking complete accountability for their development and the collective team's performance.
- Navigate shifting priorities and internal complexity to plan and operationalize new initiatives that drive merchant growth or carrier efficiency.
- Drive operational excellence by managing your team to rigorous metrics, ensuring we meet financial and qualitative goals even when time is tight.
- Serve as a critical escalation point for execution failures, resolving blockers across Sales, Product, and Operations with urgency and sound judgment.
- Adapt and localize client-facing strategies and playbooks based on market dynamics and imperfect information to ensure Uber remains the partner of choice.
- Influence long-term planning cycles and product roadmaps by translating messy real-world feedback into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience interpreting data from diverse sources like SQL and Salesforce to refine sales and operational strategies.
- Proven ability to thrive in a "startup within a company" environment, picking up new concepts fast and running with them.
- High EQ with the ability to balance intense attention to detail with swift, decisive execution.
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams across different regions or markets.
