Automation & DevOps Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and optimise existing requirements management practices.
- Establish, maintain and improve requirements, design and verification baselines.
- Ensure alignment with industry standards and certification requirements.
- Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.
- Develop and support Agile, Scrum and DevOps environments.
- Configure and maintain Jira-based problem management and issue-tracking systems.
- Support infrastructure deployments and integrations across multiple development environments.
- Administer and maintain authentication services, including LDAP environments.
- Manage software build environments and maintain system images.
- Develop, maintain and optimise automation scripts.
- Create dashboards and generate reports to support engineering activities.
- Support the migration and maintenance of legacy systems and tools.
- Assist with cybersecurity initiatives and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure best practices are followed.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Honours or Master's degree will be advantageous.
Technical Knowledge and Experience
- Proven experience in requirements management, traceability and validation throughout the software development life cycle.
- Experience within Agile, Scrum and DevOps environments.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and engineering processes.
- Experience with formal requirements management tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as RTCA DO-178, RTCA DO-254, ARP4754A and EN9100.
- Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Artifactory.
- Strong SQL and MySQL database knowledge.
- Experience with scripting languages, including Python, Bash and PowerShell.
- Exposure to containerised environments, including Docker, Podman and Kubernetes, would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies would be beneficial.
- Previous experience within a complex product development environment is highly desirable.
