AWS DevOps Engineer (Security Cleared)
In this role you will design, implement, and operate secure, scalable infrastructure across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will work with clients in regulated settings, applying DevOps and security best practices to deliver reliable platforms. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into robust AWS solutions, and you will contribute to migrations, modernization, and transformation initiatives. - Understand technical requirements and translate them into robust AWS solutions
- Design, build, migrate, and maintain secure and scalable AWS cloud environments
- Deliver cloud engineering projects from design to operations
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
- Configure and manage AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Route 53, ELB)
- Design secure AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, VPNs, security groups)
- Develop automation and CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment speed and reliability
- Apply cloud security best practices (least‑privilege, encryption, monitoring, logging)
- Support cloud migrations, modernization, and application transformation
- Troubleshoot complex issues and provide client recommendations
- Produce technical documentation and operational procedures
- Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps, security specialists, and clients
- Contribute to proposals, estimates, and solution development
- Share knowledge and contribute to internal standards and reusable solutions
- Maintain knowledge of emerging AWS technologies and cloud practices
- Proven commercial experience as an AWS Cloud/DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer or similar
- Strong hands‑on experience with AWS infrastructure and services
- Experience delivering solutions in consulting, systems integration, managed services, or professional services
- Strong understanding of AWS networking, security, identity, and infrastructure architecture
- Practical experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC technologies
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tooling
- Strong Linux and/or Windows administration skills
- Scripting/automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
- Good understanding of cloud security principles and secure‑by‑design practices
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills for client/stakeholder explanations
- Ability to work across multiple projects/teams/client environments
- Active UK Security Clearance (SC or DV) or eligibility to obtain
