What You Will Do
- Design and implement high-performance APIs and backend services using Python (FastAPI) to power electronic commodity trading platforms.
- Optimize database performance and schema design with Postgres and Redis to ensure reliability for real-time market transactions.
- Manage the full lifecycle of production services, including deployment via Docker/Kubernetes on AWS and implementing robust monitoring systems.
The ideal candidate
- At least 4+ years of professional backend experience building and maintaining production-grade APIs using Python frameworks like FastAPI.
- Proven expertise in SQL and database management, specifically optimizing Postgres for high-traffic environments and complex data schemas.
- Strong track record of taking ownership of production services, including experience with AWS infrastructure, containerization, and scaling distributed systems.
