Backend Engineer / Java Developer

Develop and maintain Java and Spring Boot microservices that support supply chain operations.
Design and build RESTful APIs and event‑driven services using Kafka and similar messaging technologies.
Improve the reliability, scalability, data consistency, and fault tolerance of business‑critical systems.
Write unit and integration tests and contribute to CI/CD processes.
Monitor logs, metrics, and alerts, and investigate production issues.
Collaborate closely with Product, Data, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.

4+ years of backend development experience.
Strong experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
Practical knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, and event‑driven architecture.
Hands‑on experience with Kafka or similar messaging and queueing technologies.
A solid understanding of idempotency, retry strategies, event ordering, and eventual consistency.
Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL and familiarity with caching technologies such as Redis.
Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with automated testing, logging, monitoring, and observability.
A strong understanding of clean code, SOLID principles, design patterns, and code review practices.
