Budget Analyst role managing financial planning, budget execution, and reporting for a U.S. Attorney's Office in Knoxville, TN.

The successful candidate will serve as a Budget Analyst in the Administrative Division. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and administering the full spectrum of budget and financial management services. As needed, additional positions may be filled using this announcement.

If selected for the position, you will serve as a Budget Analyst in the Administrative Division of the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Duties include: Enter obligations, amendments, deliverables and actions into the official financial system. Review obligations, expenditures, and unobligated orders for available balances. Apply budgetary policies, regulations, and analytical techniques to evaluate funding requirements and monitor budget execution. Prepare district budget requests. Maintain accurate and effective budget submissions to reflect needs of the district. Prepare justifications for recommended allocation levels. Review and analyze program funding requirements. Participate in identifying future resource requirements and developing future budget requirements. Process travel authorizations, foreign travel packages, and travel vouchers/claims. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
