Business Analyst – (Plant Systems)

Job Overview

PTT Digital Solutions is an Information Technology and Innovation Service Provider supporting companies within the PTT Group.

We are looking for a hands-on Business Analyst (Plant Systems) to take direct ownership of business analysis activities for IT systems supporting Plant Operations, Manufacturing, Production, Pipeline Operations, and Plant Maintenance.

This role works closely with plant users, operations teams, engineers, developers, and technical teams to understand operational processes, translate business needs into system requirements, and drive IT solutions from Requirement Gathering through Testing, Go-live, and Post-implementation Support.

Job Responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end Business Analysis activities for IT systems and projects supporting plant and production operations.

• Work directly with plant users, production teams, engineers, maintenance teams, and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze, and clarify business requirements.

• Analyze As-is processes, identify operational pain points and system gaps, and design practical To-be processes and system solutions.

• Translate business requirements into clear functional requirements, system requirements, and business rules.

• Prepare key BA deliverables such as Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications, User Stories, Process Flows, Acceptance Criteria, Data Mapping, and Integration Requirements.

• Analyze business processes related to Plant Operations, Manufacturing, Production Planning, Production Monitoring, Pipeline Operations, Equipment Maintenance, and Engineering Operations.

• Analyze system integrations, interfaces, and data flows between plant systems and enterprise applications, including ERP, SAP, MES, Plant Maintenance Systems, and other internal or external systems.

• Work closely with developers, System Analysts, and technical teams to clarify system functionality, business logic, data requirements, and integration specifications.

• Prepare and support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Test Cases, Defect Management, and Requirement Traceability.

• Perform Impact Analysis for system enhancements, Change Requests, new requirements, and production-related system issues.

• Support implementation activities, including Go-live preparation, deployment coordination, issue resolution, and post-go-live support.

• Ensure delivered IT solutions are technically feasible, practical, and aligned with actual Plant, Production, Pipeline, Maintenance, and Engineering Operations.

Job Specifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or related fields.

• At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst, Functional Consultant, or related role.

• Direct experience in IT systems or projects supporting Plant Operations, Manufacturing, Production, Pipeline, or Plant Maintenance is required.

• Strong understanding of at least one of the following areas: Plant Operations, Production Processes, Manufacturing Systems, Production Planning, Pipeline Operations, or Plant Maintenance.

• Able to independently perform Requirement Gathering, Business Process Analysis, Functional Analysis, Documentation, Testing, and Implementation Support.

• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP, SAP PP, SAP PM, Plant Monitoring Systems, or other Plant-related IT systems is highly preferred.

• Knowledge or experience in System Integration, API, Interfaces, Data Mapping, or Data Flow Analysis is an advantage.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Able to work effectively with both plant business users and technical teams and translate operational needs into clear system requirements.

• Good command of English with TOEIC 550 or equivalent.
