Business Analyst/System Analyst
Summary
Business/System Analyst in Bangkok at Amaris Consulting: gathers and documents business and functional requirements, analyzes existing systems, integrations, and data flows, and supports delivery through the SDLC including testing and UAT. About the role
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives, and challenges. Translate business requirements into clear functional and non-functional requirements for technical teams. Support project delivery throughout the SDLC, from requirements gathering through implementation. The role also includes system analysis: assessing existing applications, integrations, data flows, and technical constraints to help define effective solutions.
Key responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for IT and business initiatives
Translate business requirements into clear functional and non-functional requirements for technical teams
Analyze existing systems, applications, interfaces, and data flows to understand how they support business processes
Identify system gaps, dependencies, constraints, and opportunities for improvement
Define system behaviors, integration requirements, data requirements, and exception scenarios
Support the delivery of projects throughout the SDLC, from requirements gathering through implementation
Collaborate with business, technical, and cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives
Develop and maintain business requirement documents, system requirement specifications, process flows, use cases, user stories, and other project documentation
Create or review process models, data mappings, interface specifications, and system workflows
Support solution validation, system testing, user acceptance testing, and implementation activities
About you
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
3–6 years of experience in Business Analysis, System Analysis, IT Consulting, or a similar role
Proven experience gathering and analyzing requirements for IT or software projects
Experience analyzing systems, applications, integrations, and data flows
Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Experience creating functional and system requirements, user stories, process flows, and business documentation
Ability to translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements for technical teams
Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Good communication skills in Thai and English
