Responsibilities:
- Perform complex cardiac surgical interventions including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, and other heart surgeries.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnostic assessments of patients with cardiovascular diseases.
- Develop and implement individualized surgical treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage preoperative planning and postoperative care to ensure optimal recovery for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding treatment options, procedures, and post-operative care.
- Participate in clinical research and educational activities to advance the field of cardiac surgery.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records adhering to regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completed residency in general surgery and fellowship training in cardiac surgery.
- Board certification in cardiac surgery is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of surgical experience in cardiac procedures.
- Proficient in latest cardiac surgical techniques and technologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with sound decision-making capabilities.
- Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
