We are looking for a highly qualified cardiothoracic surgeon to join our team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional surgical expertise, a compassionate approach to patient care, and a commitment to advancing medical practices. This role involves performing intricate surgeries on the heart, lungs, and other thoracic organs to treat a variety of conditions, while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose patients with cardiothoracic disorders using clinical evaluations and diagnostic tools.
  • Develop customized surgical treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Perform complex cardiothoracic surgeries such as coronary artery bypass grafting, heart valve repair or replacement, lung resections, and other thoracic procedures.
  • Apply minimally invasive surgical techniques when appropriate to enhance patient recovery and safety.
  • Coordinate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to provide seamless perioperative care.
  • Monitor patients closely through preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative stages to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing research to contribute to advancements in cardiothoracic surgery.
  • Maintain accurate surgical records and comply with institutional and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Completed general surgery residency and cardiothoracic surgery fellowship.
  • Board certification in cardiothoracic surgery is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing cardiothoracic surgery.
  • Proficiency in both traditional and minimally invasive cardiothoracic surgical techniques.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular and pulmonary anatomy and pathology.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and make critical decisions during surgery.
  • Commitment to continuous medical education and research.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
