Chief Resident Architect (CRA)
Job Description:
• Provide overall team direction and management to realise project objectives to the highest professional, technical and safety standards, as required by the Superintending Officer/consultants.
• Oversee and administer QSS manpower deployment per the main contractors' work schedules and ensure personnel welfare.
• Keep conversant with the Changi Aerodrome Manual, Airside Works Procedures Manual, Airport Operational & Safety (AOS) requirements and WSH Manual, including all updates/circulars.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 20 years' relevant architectural experience, of which at least 15 years on projects of similar size/complexity(major construction works in buildings, tunnels and deep excavation).
• Architectural degree recognised by, and currently registered with, the Board of Architects.
• In current employment under the Contractor for a minimum of 5 years.
• Proficient in contract administration under PSSCOC.
• Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health Management in Construction Industry (WSHMCI) and other trainings per Cl. 4.2.
• Conversant with statutory codes/requirements for site supervision, quality control, safety & health, construction administration and progress reporting.
• Relevant experience in the Aviation/Aerodrome sector preferred.
• Able to perform shift work.
• Architectural QSS: experience with complex roof & skylight systems.
• Facade & sun-shading systems.
• Partition, door/door hardware, passive fire & life-safety, water proofing systems.
• Interior fit-out incl. internal glazing, in-situ terrazzo, custom broadloom carpet, GRC/GRG cladding, terracotta panel cladding, counters & kiosks equipment enclosures, signage & LED screens, landscape & water features.
• May be required to inspect local/overseas manufacturing plants and testing laboratories jointly with CAG, Consultants and QP/QP representatives.
