California Sierra Express is hiring an experienced Class A CDL Driver for our Hayward operation. This is a full-time day-shift position performing time-sensitive pickups and deliveries throughout the greater Bay Area. Drivers operate Class A tractor-trailer equipment and work closely with our operations team to safely and professionally move freight for domestic and international freight-forwarding customers.
This position offers a consistent Tuesday-through-Saturday workweek with Sunday and Monday off. Routes can vary based on freight volume and customer needs and may require approximately 10–12 hours to complete.

What You’ll Do
-
Safely operate Class A tractor-trailer equipment on assigned routes

Complete time-sensitive pickups and deliveries
-
Load, unload, and secure freight as required

Verify and report freight dimensions and weights

Complete vehicle inspections, manifests, and required driver documentation

Provide professional service at customer and freight facilities
-
Follow company safety policies and applicable DOT, FMCSA, TSA, and OSHA requirements

Maintain dependable and consistent attendance
Qualifications
-
Valid Class A CDL
-
2 Years Commercial Class A tractor-trailer driving experience
-
Experience operating 53' tractor-trailers
-
Safe driving record
-
Ability to work a consistent Tuesday–Saturday day schedule

Ability to safely handle freight when required

Hazmat endorsement preferred

Ability to meet DOT, FMCSA, TSA, company, insurance, background-screening, and drug-testing requirements
