About the Role
We are looking for a versatile engineer to drive our in-house development projects from conception to deployment. In this role, you will design and build cloud-native applications, robust data pipelines, and scalable architectures that power our core business systems and data platforms.
Responsibilities
Conduct user requirement analysis, design for in-house development project.
Undertake system development including programming, testing, implementation and related system maintenance, enhancements, and support tasks.
Design and develop cloud-native application components— serverless APIs, event-driven data pipelines, and containerized batch jobs.
Design and implement relational data models, database objects and data access logic.
Prepare technical specifications, unit and integration test plans, and system documentation; participate in peer code reviews and enforce coding standards.
Support user acceptance testing, production cutover, parallel run and post-implementation stabilization.
Job Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years of IT experience with at least 2 years in cloud development.
Solid experience in cloud platform e.g. AWS, GCP
Strong programming skills in Python.
Experienced in SQL / NoSQL databases (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), with strong SQL writing and query performance tuning ability.
Experienced in data modelling / API implementation (RESTful) is preferrable.
Experienced in data integration, ETL / ELT, or streaming data pipelines.
Version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines and agile delivery practices are preferrable.
