KBR Abu Dhabi is currently looking to fill a position of Construction Superintendent - Lifting for an offshore project to be based initially for some time in the office and then move to offshore site on 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation (as per client requirement).
The Construction Superintendent – Lifting (Offshore) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all offshore lifting operations, including crane and marine-related lifts, ensuring operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with offshore regulations and project requirements. This role plays a critical part in managing simultaneous operations (SIMOPS), weather-sensitive lifting activities, and interface coordination between offshore construction, marine, and HSE teams.

Key responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and control all offshore lifting operations, including routine, heavy, and critical lifts.
- Review, approve, and implement offshore lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Ensure correct selection and utilization of offshore cranes, pedestal cranes, vessel cranes, and lifting accessories.
- Oversee lifting activities involving platforms, jackets, modules, subsea items, and equipment transfer.
- Coordinate lifts between offshore facilities and supply vessels, barges, and jack-up rigs.
Requirements
- Minimum overall 17+ years of experience in oil and gas industry.
- Minimum 5+ years of previous experience working in ADNOC projects.
- 10–15 years of construction experience, with 5+ years in offshore lifting supervision.
- Proven experience in offshore construction, platform, jacket, or marine lifting operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing heavy, complex, and weather-sensitive offshore lifts.
- Must have worked at least 5 years of experience in similar position for mega oil and gas FEED / EPC project (more than US$ 1 billion).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a must.
