KBR is looking for a Construction Superintendent – E&I with offshore site experience in MEGA EPC projects to be based in Abu Dhabi for a PMC project.
Experience required:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a must.
The superintendent, appointed by the company, shall be responsible for:
- Make sure the approved MOPO will be implemented at all times.
- Facilitate alignment discussions between logistics, drilling and project construction management for issues and clash resolution.
- Determination of work schedule priorities and convenes SIMOPs Panel 1 as and when required.
- Escalate unresolved SIMOPs clashes to SIMOPs Clash Panel 2 as required.
- Provide management oversight for implementation of SIMOPs process between drilling contractor and EPC contractor, as SIMOPs co-ordinator.
- Ensuring all requirements of SIMOPs standard (HSE-OS-ST-06) are in place as required.
- Overseeing and verifying updates of the defined area work plan.
- Reviewing and endorse the Master 2-Week SIMOPs Look Ahead Plan based on information received from company representatives for drilling and facilities regarding upcoming/planned SIMOPs activities.
- Review integrated activity plans long term/90 days look-ahead to ensure potential SIMOPs are escalated as may be required in time for IOC 4-monthly meetings.
- Endorsing any PTW after reviewing any SIMOPs issues related.
- Ensuring SIMOPs work is being performed safely and in accordance with requirements.
- Chairing the daily PTW co-ordination meeting.
- Chairing the daily SIMOPs co-ordination meeting as SIMOPs co-ordinator.
- Chairing the weekly SIMOPs management team meeting as SIMOPs co-ordinator.
- Chairing the weekly planning meetings.
- Maintaining daily communication and coordination with area authorities.
- Reviewing and authorizing high risk activities in general work areas.
- Reviewing requests for new area permits.
- Participating in periodic inspections and audits of the facility and processes to ensure compliance to respective standards.
- Verifying inspection, maintenance and preservation activities completed via support contracts held by others including L&S.
- Referencing SIMOPS activities, ensures to maintain full record of events, and operations and carefully address any potential area of conflict with comprehensive details, letters, requests, emails tracking and references.
- Verify and align berth space booking request with MCC support office.
- Awareness of the marine operation management system and coordinate with MCC support office and MCC to facilitate safe berthing/unberthing of marine units, with particular consideration while any of the installation barges/vessels are operating in the vicinity of the entrance and within PTW boundaries.
