Primary responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical evaluations and diagnoses for surgical patients
• Perform complex general surgical procedures with precision and care
• Manage all aspects of patient care, including preoperative preparation and postoperative follow-up
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures and recovery
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with clinical governance standards
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in surgical techniques and healthcare practices
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• Completion of general surgery residency and specialty training
• Board certification or equivalent in general surgery
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a consultant general surgeon
• Strong clinical skills and proficiency in various surgical techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and best practices
• Proficiency in English language; additional languages are a plus
