About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to join us on an initial 3-month contract engagement, with potential for extension.
You'll work across complex technology environments, bridging business requirements with technical delivery and supporting system enhancements, integrations, and API-led solutions.
This role is suited to a highly experienced Technical BA with strong API knowledge who can work closely with stakeholders, developers, testers, and delivery teams.
What You'll Do
- Lead requirements gathering and translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
- Create high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical documentation.
- Work closely with product, engineering, testing, and delivery teams.
- Support API design, integration, and API contract definition and maintenance.
- Analyse systems, data flows, dependencies, and integration requirements.
- Support delivery across Agile and SAFe environments.
What You'll Bring
- 12+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, including significant Technical BA experience.
- Strong experience with Swagger, Postman, REST APIs, API contracts, and API integrations.
- Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with Agile/SAFe, Jira, and Confluence.
- Understanding of API security, cloud concepts, containerisation, CI/CD, service discovery, and distributed tracing.
- Strong SQL, data analysis, and system integration knowledge.
- Previous hands-on API development experience would be a strong advantage.
- Experience with APIs at scale, API best practices, reusability, resilience, and ITSM practices is desirable.
- Banking, payments, credit card, insurance, or broader financial services experience will be highly regarded.
