Job Description

As a Creative Director at Ubisoft Montréal, you define and communicate the high-level creative vision that guides the game throughout its production. As a Creative Director, you bring teams together around a shared vision and ensure that every creative decision reflects the essence of the game and the desired experience for players around the world.

What you will do:

  • Define and champion a clear, coherent, and inspiring overall creative vision for the game.
  • Collaborate closely with production, art, and design leadership to unify disciplinary visions.
  • Communicate and embody the creative direction throughout production to align the teams.
  • Present the game vision to the editorial team and senior management, and represent the project to these partners.
  • Validate the creative consistency and overall quality of the game in line with the brand, experience, and strategy.
  • Align priorities, scope, and timelines in collaboration with production.
  • Foster an environment of collective creativity conducive to innovation.
  • Travel as needed to present the game, meet with external partners, and visit co-development studios.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate strong creative leadership and the ability to define a long-term vision for a video game.
  • Communicate with ease across all development disciplines.
  • Mobilize teams through excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Integrate technical and production feasibility into the development of creative concepts.
  • Act as a mentor and share your expertise within the teams.
  • Independently use presentation and visual creation tools.
  • Understand game engines and their production constraints.
  • Work effectively with project management tools.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the market and a sincere passion for video games.
