Data Analyst Apprentice (Internship)
Salary: RM 1,000 per month
About the role
This role involves assisting with data collection, cleaning, validation and organisation. You will support data extraction and preparation using Excel, SQL or Python, and help update Power BI dashboards, reports and visualisations. You will perform basic data checks to identify missing or inconsistent values, help automate recurring reports to reduce manual processing tasks, and maintain accurate documentation while handling data confidentially.
Key responsibilities
Assist with collecting, cleaning, validating and organising datasets
Support data extraction and preparation using Excel, SQL or Python
Assist in updating Power BI dashboards, reports and visualisations
Perform basic data checks and identify missing or inconsistent values
Help automate recurring reports and reduce manual processing tasks
Maintain accurate documentation and handle data confidentially
Carry out other data analysis and reporting tasks as assigned
About you
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (Hons.) or any related field
Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics or any other relevant discipline
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, data handling and data analysis
Familiarity with SQL, Python, Power BI or other reporting tools is an advantage
Good communication, team work and problem solving skills
Willing to learn and work with business data, spreadsheets and digital reporting tools
