What's Required
This would suit a data focussed Business Analyst who can act as a bridge between business users and data delivery teams. More specifically they will have the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Data, Business, or related field (preferred)
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CBAP, PMI-PBA, data or analytics certifications) – desirable
- 3–5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong data or analytics focus
- Experience working with data engineers, analytics teams, or BI developers
- Experience delivering data solutions in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business needs into structured data requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation capability Technical / Professional Skills
- SQL capability for data analysis and validation
- Experience with data warehouses, lakes, or analytics platforms
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker – requirements/validation level)
- Understanding of data pipelines (ETL/ELT concepts)
- Experience documenting data lineage and metadata Experience
