About The Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer with hands‑on Snowflake experience and fluent German to join a project for a major Swiss transportation client.
Qualifications & Experience
- Several years’ experience (3–5 years) as a Data Engineer, including in‑depth practical experience with Snowflake as a data warehouse
- Excellent SQL skills and experience in data modelling (ELT, dimensional modelling)
- In‑depth experience with dbt (development, testing and deployment of models)
- Proficiency in using Git (branching strategies, pull requests; we use Bitbucket)
- Basic understanding of containerization and deployment concepts in Kubernetes/OpenShift environments
- Experience with CI/CD workflows, e.g. Jenkins, Tekton, GitLab CI or similar; understanding of automated builds, tests and deployments
- Knowledge of Python for data processing and automation
- Good command of German (minimum B2)
Nice To Have
- Experience with Azure services as an infrastructure layer (in particular Azure Key Vault, Entra ID, Blob Storage, Azure Data Factory)
- Experience with Helm Charts and Artifactory
- Experience with Argo Workflows or comparable orchestration tools would be an advantage
- Expertise in working with finance/investment data products
- Experience in business analysis and requirements engineering
