Day 2 Software Engineer

Summary

Day 2 Software Engineer responsible for post-deployment operations—troubleshooting, bug fixing, configuration management, and containerized deployments—using Node.js, React, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.

As a Day 2 Software Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our software products post-deployment. Your role will involve not only fixing coding bugs but also performing end-to-end troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues related to configuration, performance, and integration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our software meets the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

- End-to-End Troubleshooting: Perform comprehensive troubleshooting to diagnose and fix issues related to software configuration, performance, and integration.

- Bug Fixing: Identify, analyze, and resolve coding bugs in a timely manner.

- App Configuration Management: Review and update app configurations to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.

- Integration Support: Assist in resolving integration issues with other systems and platforms.

- Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers and address their concerns effectively.

- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of issues, solutions, and best practices.

- Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and support teams to ensure seamless software operation.

- Deployment: Perform File Transfer, Push Container Images and Container orchestration for rolling out Bug Fixes and Enhancements.

- Technical Debts: Identify, analyze, design and perform Proof of Concept (PoC) for Technical Debts and Enhancements.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field

- Open to Singapore Citizens only, in line with security clearance requirements for government-related projects.

- 2-5 years of relevant professional working experience.

- Proven experience in software development and bug fixing.

- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

- Familiarity with software configuration management and performance monitoring tools.

- Experience with Node.js, React, Kafka, Keycloak, MQTT, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Podman, MongoDB, and IBM MQ.

- Available for 24/7 standby.

- Ready to work OT and in shift roles if needed.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
