Summary

Contract Data Delivery Manager (12+12 months, baseline clearance) placed with a Federal statutory authority in Surry Hills, Sydney. The role leads data teams to deliver data and analytics products, managing scope, schedules, backlogs and delivery reporting, with JIRA and PM tools essential and SQL/Python plus cloud data platforms desirable.

Salary: $130 - $150 per hour (inc. super)

  • 12 + 12 month contract – Baseline clearance

Our client, an independent Federal statutory authority based in Surry Hills, NSW, requires the services of multiple Data Delivery Managers for 12 + 12 month contracts.

Duties of the Data Delivery Managers:

  • Lead a team to deliver data assets and products that underpin workflow and decision making.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, dependencies, resourcing and risks.
  • Establish and maintain a delivery roadmap, aligned with program milestones.
  • Manage a backlog of developments and enhancements, prioritising for value and feasibility.
  • Regularly report delivery progress, risks and issues.
  • Review and provide feedback on business and technical design documents.

Skills and Experience - Data Delivery Managers:

Essential criteria

  • Demonstrated expertise leading data teams to deliver change programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise managing data and analytics resources.
  • Demonstrated expertise constructing a detailed plan of activity to discover, design, build and implement data products using best practice delivery methodologies.
  • Experience developing data products utilising JIRA to plan, track and measure progress and productivity.
  • Experience using common PM tools.

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of data management principles and demonstrated application in the design and implementation of data and analytics products (e.g. DMBOK)
  • Hands on data analysis skills using contemporary analytics capabilities (e.g. SQL, Python) and platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks).
