In this contract role you will build and automate cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines, supporting containerised applications within a secure, cloud-native programme. You’ll work in a highly technical environment on platform engineering and DevOps best practices, enabling scalable, observable systems. Expect to implement IaC, GitOps and CI/CD improvements that drive reliability and speed. This remote position requires monthly site visits to Romsey and holds active SC or DV clearance as a prerequisite.
Responsibilities- Build, automate and maintain cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines
- Support containerised applications and improve platform engineering and DevOps processes
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS
- Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines
- Administer and automate Kubernetes platforms
- Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Packer
- Enable GitOps with ArgoCD
- Set up monitoring and observability with Grafana, Prometheus and OpenTelemetry
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering standards and release processes
- Active SC or DV Clearance
- UK-based
- Able to attend site in Romsey approximately once per month
- Proven experience in complex DevOps and cloud engineering environments
