Self-Direction DSP - Baldwinsville Area (Job #MLG/FS)

Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR)is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Baldwinsville area with a woman in her late-20’s. The individual is looking for a dedicated staff to assist her with maintaining her independence both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting with light housekeeping, meal preparation and general independence. This individual is very shy and introverted and asks that staff encourage her to come out of her shell and explore activities in the community. She is a HUGE Pokémon and video game fan, who has a knack for creative writing and enjoys doing crafts and baking.

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience a plus but willing to train. Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.

Hiring for the following days, times may be flexible:

Monday: 10am – 5pm

Wednesday: 10am – 5pm

Thursday: 10am – 5pm

There is an ability for more hours once hired on. Flexibility to fill-in for other staff is a major plus. Individual willing to consider different schedule/shifts for the right applicant. The pay rate is $21.50 per hour. Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR)is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
