Job purpose
This position exists to plan, organize, and control the electrical activities of the project to best accomplish the successful completion within the guidelines established by the project manager according to the established schedules, budgets, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) policy constraints.
Key accountability areas
Responsibility:
- Review project electrical documents that include methodology, quality assurance, control procedures, engineering, and construction time schedule
- Prepare and review technical submittals such as design, specifications, drawings, calculations, method statements, TPIs, risk assessments, etc. for compliance with clientu2019s requirements, authority requirements, end-user requirements, local and international standards
- Oversee and inspect site installation work on a daily basis, witness tests, identify non-compliance to construction documentation, and recommend corrective measures
- Coordinate daily with the team leader and other team members to verify, document, and report the quality issues of work performed by the sub-contractors and provide or suggest corrective actions
- Ensure all construction activities run well at the site and review the progress
- Conduct technical meetings and constant follow-up with client design and engineering divisions

- Maintain the quality standards of all electrical activities as per project quality plan
Role accountability
- Train subordinates and form a team to get the work done effectively
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work
- Delegate assignments to subordinates appropriately
- Ensure fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale and motivation of subordinates
- Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time
- Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks
- Resolve any related problems and escalate complex operational issues as necessary
- Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products, processes, or related activities
- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible
- Comply with related policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products and services
Academic qualification
Bachelor degree in electrical engineering
