Job purpose
This position exists to plan, organize, and control the electrical activities of the project to best accomplish the successful completion within the guidelines established by the Project Manager according to the established schedules, budgets, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) policy constraints.
Key accountability areas
Responsibility:
Review project electrical documents that include methodology, quality assurance, control procedures, engineering, and construction time schedule
Prepare and review technical submittals such as design, specifications, drawings, calculations, method statements, TPIs, risk assessments, etc. for compliance with client’s requirements, authority requirements, end-user requirements, local and international standards
Oversee/inspect site installation work on a daily basis, witness tests, identify non-compliance to construction documentation, and recommend corrective measures
Coordinate on a daily basis with the Team Leader and other team members to verify, document and report the quality issues of work performed by the sub-contractors and provide/suggest corrective actions
Ensure all construction activities run well at the site and review the progress
Conduct technical meetings and constant follow-up with Client Design and Engineering Divisions
Quality:
Maintain the quality standards of all electrical activities as per project quality plan
Role accountability
Training of subordinates and forming a team to get the work done effectively
Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work
Delegate subordinates in each respective assignment
Ensure fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale and motivation of subordinates
Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules
Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time
Provide a periodic report detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks
Resolve any related problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues
Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities
Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible
Comply with related policy and procedures and work instructions
Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services
