Engineer Process
Summary
Develops design documentation (PFDs, P&IDs) and manages tendering, engineering reviews, and commissioning for ultrapure water and chemical systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop design documentation as per Deliverable List eg Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Drawings, System Layouts, Equipment and Instrumentation data sheets
- Involved in preparation of tender document and tendering activities (tender preparation, tender interview / clarification meetings, evaluate proposals submissions and Tender Recommendation Report preparation);
- Perform engineering reviews on vendor documentation to ensure compliance and completeness in technical scope;
- Brief Process Supervisors on the project scope and ensure system complete on schedule;
- Interface:
- Design Phase: Design Manager, Lead/Senior Process Engineer, Other Discipline Package Owner/s
- Project Execution Phase: Project Manager, Safety, Quality Assurance/Quality Compliance, Commissioning Manager, Process Supervisor, Other Discipline Package Owner/s.
- Assist Lead/Senior Engineer/s in budgeting and cost estimations for projects;
- Assist Quality Assurance/Quality Compliance Manager/Senior Engineer/s in Site acceptance Test and Inspection Qualification;
- Assist Commissioning Manager in system start-up, testing and commissioning and system turnover to client;
- Promote safe work practices;
- Ad hoc duties as determined by management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering
- Diploma holders with additional 2 - 3 years’ experience unless equated with professional certifications
- Type of experience: Experience in design and/or construction in either Deionized/Ultrapure Water or Wastewater or Chemical or Gas Systems
- Understanding of Codes and Engineering Standards of International Clients
- Conversant in the use of design software
